Behind the Seams, where the Art of Leathercraft Meets Inspiration.
On August 11, 2022, I created a discussion group with my sisters. Its title: Meilyne.
I always told myself that one day I would launch my own brand, that one day I would let my creativity flow. These ideas were often at the heart of our conversations during evenings where we would reinvent the world. Yet, I never really dared to believe it. Then one day, I realized that to achieve this dream, I had to take action, create the opportunity myself. I started drawing, planning, and surrounding myself with competent partners. Today, it is with great joy that I present to you my first bags.

The drawings
Our inspirations.
Our bags are imagined and designed in Paris by our founder. They capture the elegance and harmony of Asian arts while adapting to a timeless French style.
For her first creations, our founder drew inspiration from East Asian culinary art, elegantly translating it into unique designs.

The beginnings
in Paris.
It is then in a small Parisian workshop that every detail is carefully considered to bring the first prototypes to life. It is important for us to closely oversee this crucial stage in the creation of a model and to rely on the expertise of French artisans. For these reasons, we chose the proximity of this workshop.

The expertise.
Made in Spain.
At Meilyne, we have chosen to produce in a small workshop in Petrer, Spain.
We maintain close contact with our artisans, whose expertise and experience bring our unique designs to life.

The material
Leather
The leathers used for our bags are carefully selected from Spanish tanneries. We take into account their appearance, origin, and durability. We place great importance on choosing partners who are committed to environmentally and socially responsible practices. All the tanneries we work with are certified by the LWG (Leather Working Group).
Our goal is to help reduce waste in the fashion industry while creating high-quality products. To achieve this, we use upcycled leathers for our limited collections. These leathers come from dormant stocks of renowned European tanneries. We recover them and give them a second life, preventing them from being wasted.
