Our engagements
Making a bag is a committed act. Here are ours.

The method
A bag is designed.
We don't release a leather bag every season. We release it when it's ready. Each design goes through months of sketching, prototyping, and adjustments before it goes into production. Priority is given to ergonomics, balance, and longevity, three requirements borrowed from engineering.
So what does that mean in practice? One model per year, two to three colors per model, never more.

Manufacturing
In Petrer, Spain. Some short editions in France.
Our bags are made in Europe, in a family workshop in the Petrer region of Spain, where about ten passionate artisans work. The leather comes from LWG (Leather Working Group) certified tanneries, the industry's most demanding environmental standard.
Some short editions are made in France, in a partner workshop specializing in smaller formats.
In practical terms: we openly communicate about the places and people who make our bags.

Duration
A Meilyne bag is meant to be kept.
We reject the logic of replacement. Leather is chosen for its ability to improve with age, stitching for its durability, and shape for its ability to stand the test of time. A durable Meilyne bag accompanies you through days, promotions, and decades.
In practical terms: our designs evolve slowly, or not at all

Repair
A Meilyne bag is designed to be cherished.
Every Meilyne bag can be repaired. For the first year after purchase, repairs are free of charge. After that, they are offered at cost price, without any markup. This is our lifetime repair service.
And in practice: You send us your repair request by email and it will be handled within 48 hours.
