OUR COMMITMENTS
Convinced that responsible fashion also means transparency, we are committed to openly sharing how our pieces are made. On this page, you will find everything we are able to trace and document about our pieces: where they are made, by whom, from what materials, and at what pace.
METHOD
DESIGNING AND DEVELOPING IN THE OPEN
We show what we make. The inspirations, stories and process are part of what we share, just as much as the finished pieces.
Each design takes between six months and a year to develop, from the first sketch to production. This is not time lost to slowness, but the time required for a shape to go through every adjustment until it feels right.
Everything begins with pattern-making. The design is translated into precise patterns that define the shape and dimensions of each component. These patterns are then transferred onto the leather. Each piece is cut, assembled and positioned to ensure the bag’s strength, alignment and structure.
MATERIAL
A MATERIAL CHOSEN FOR EACH PIECE
Our bags are made from cowhide, sourced from adult cattle. We do not use any exotic skins. The grained leather used for our permanent collection comes from CLV (Curtidos Leather Valencia), a Leather Working Group-certified tannery in Spain. Our limited editions are crafted from upcycled leather from Tanneries Roux in Romans-sur-Isère, a French tannery certified by the Leather Working Group since 2018. Offcuts from our workshops are not discarded. They are brought back into production through limited series, created from what the manufacturing process leaves behind.
MANUFACTURE
CRAFTED WITH EXPERTISE IN EUROPE
Our pieces come to life through several areas of craftsmanship, each chosen for its expertise. Our bags are made by Crunat, a family-run workshop based in Petrer, Spain, where around ten skilled artisans work with care and dedication. In Marseille, the independent workshop Flora Contigo produces our small leather goods, while our silk scarves are made by Creasilk in Como, Italy. We also pay particular attention to the details that make up each bag. Our clasps are designed, modelled and prototyped by Mettetal Création in Saint-Julien-du-Sault, in the Yonne region of France. They are then produced in Asia before returning to the French workshop, where each piece is inspected. Finally, we use YKK zippers, chosen for their proven reliability.
RHYTHM
ONE TO TWO PIECES PER YEAR
We design one to two pieces a year, each available in two or three colourways. From the first sketch to production, every design takes between six months and a year to develop, allowing us the time to refine every detail and create only pieces we fully believe in. Some creations are also made from upcycled materials, in limited editions of just a few pieces. We do not offer sales or seasonal discounts: our designs remain available until they sell out, at the price they were originally intended to be sold at. What we produce is made to be sold, not cleared. Free from the pace of trends and seasonal collections, our designs are created to last. This approach allows us to grow our range gradually, at our own pace, and to produce with restraint.
QUALITY & LIFESPAN
WHAT WEAR CAN BE REPAIRED
We reject the logic of replacement. Leather is chosen for the way it improves with time, stitching for its durability, and each shape for its ability to endure for years. Every bag is designed to be repaired. Repairs are complimentary for one year after purchase. After that, they are offered at cost, with no added margin. Any request sent by email is handled within 48 hours.
